This letter has been sent to the North Devon Gazette and The North Devon Journal... The Leave campaign's figure of the cost of being in the EU has been widely discredited. The real net cost once we have received back rebates and subsidies etc is 26 pence per person per day. The idea that the Leave Campaign will reinvest this money back into the NHS (another of their claims) is farcical. Boris wants to charge for using the NHS, Gove wants to privatise it and Ian Duncan-Smith wants an American style insurance system. The NHS is badly underfunded as a result of this government's policies and they are decreasing its provision by the day with closures of hospitals and the movement of services out of reach of local people. Privatisation and underfunding are all hallmarks of Tory governments. Nothing to do with the EU. We think the positive aspects of the EU outweigh the negative. We need a British voice in Europe instead of 'No Voice'. With our neighbours and allies we are stronger and better together. Pam and Toby Ebert

The current debate on the party leadership should recognise that Corbyn is not an electable P. M.
